PRECISION AT SEA BEYOND A SEARCHLIGHT
The Evica PinPoint S Series is a fully stabilised, software controlled optical targeting platform engineered specifically to overcome the limitations of conventional marine searchlights. Traditional systems move with the vessel, lose target lock in rough conditions, and rely heavily on continuous manual correction. PinPoint addresses this by combining true geometric stabilisation with predictive trajectory targeting, ensuring the beam remains precisely fixed on target regardless of vessel motion or target behaviour.
CORE CAPABILITY: TRUE STABILISATION
At the core of the system is a stabilisation engine based on real time three dimensional geometric modelling rather than basic gyro correction. The system continuously calculates vessel position and orientation within the ENU frame and applies full compensation for pitch, roll, and yaw before any movement is executed. This removes vessel motion from the control loop, resulting in a precise, steady, and focused beam that maintains target lock even in aggressive sea states.
PREDICTIVE TARGETING AND AUTONOMOUS TRACKING
PinPoint introduces advanced model based trajectory prediction to enable autonomous tracking. The system maintains a continuous history of target movement and projects future position using kinematic modelling, speed smoothing, and manoeuvre detection. Latency is actively compensated so the system leads the target rather than reacting to it. Integration with AIS and radar via NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 enables multi target tracking of both moving and static objects with minimal or no manual input, reducing operator workload and improving response speed.
LIGHTING PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY
The S300 delivers up to 30000 lumens, the S100 delivers 10000 lumens, both providing a high intensity light source, while consuming a fraction of the power. A patented hybrid Fresnel lens using total internal reflection maximises light transmission and produces a focused beam, reduces system size, and improves heat dissipation, while its diamond hard coating resists scratches, salt, and ultraviolet exposure, ensuring long term optical performance and durability.
